👉 Free gift selection in the Reward bar
Until now, a Free gift tier could only add one fixed product variant to the cart automatically. Now you can let shoppers pick their own gift — and its size, color, or any other variant — right in the cart drawer.
How it works
Each Free gift tier has a new Free gift adding method:
Auto-add — gifts are added to the cart automatically. This is the existing behavior, and all your current tiers stay on it.
Manual selection — shoppers choose their gift from a module in the cart drawer and select the variant themselves.
With Manual selection you can offer up to 10 gift products per tier (Auto-add still allows 3).
How to set it up
In the Cartly Dashboard, go to Custom cart → Features → Reward bar.
Open a tier with the reward type Free gift.
Set Free gift adding method to Manual selection.
Select the gift products you want to offer — up to 10.
Open Free gift module settings to configure how the module looks.
Save.
Free gift module settings
Free gift limit — how many gifts one shopper can claim (1–10). Once they reach the limit, the module hides.
Module position — above or below the products in the drawer.
Module type — Carousel, Block, Slider, or Popup.
Card type — Horizontal or Vertical.
Button style — Filled or Outlined.
Gift title redirect — let the gift title open the product page.
Labels — Module title, Add to cart button, and Price label (default: FREE). Use
{{gifts_quantity}}to show how many gifts are available.
👉 Popup layout for the free gift module
Set Module type to Popup to replace the in-drawer block with a trigger bar that opens a gift picker over the cart. Shoppers tick the gifts they want and add them all at once, with a live counter on the button — for example, Add to cart (2/3).
The popup has its own Popup title and Popup subtitle labels, and the button label supports {{selected_gifts_quantity}} alongside {{gifts_quantity}}.
Improvements
👉 Free gift texts are translatable per tier
All free gift module texts can now be translated for each language in your store. Find them in Custom cart → Cart features as Free gift [field] - Tier N (Reward bar). Only the labels your tier actually uses appear there, so the list follows the adding method and module type you selected.
👉 Re-add free gift after manual removal is now per tier
This setting used to apply to the whole store. You can now enable or disable it for an individual tier from Free gift module settings. Tiers you don't change keep following your store-wide setting.
👉 Refreshed free gift line in the cart
The quantity stepper was removed from gift lines, the price is replaced by your Price label, and the product title can optionally link to the product page.
