The Order notes field appears inside the cart drawer and lets shoppers leave a message with their order.
Order notes allow customers to add special instructions, delivery requests, or gift messages before they check out. The note is passed to the order in your Shopify admin.
You can rename the label, change the placeholder text, and choose where the field appears in the drawer.
How to enable order notes?
In the app, go to Custom Cart.
In the left sidebar, open Features → Order notes.
In the Order notes panel, click Enable.
What you can configure:
Order notes label — the clickable text that opens the field (default: Add order note). Supports bold, underline, links and alignment
Order notes placeholder — the hint text shown inside the empty field (default: Special instructions for your order)
Order notes position — Above Checkout button or Below cart items
